«This educational institution influenced the informal cultural scene a lot. Interestingly, its headmaster was completely weird. Still he considereds himself a Don Cossack and demandeds everybody took after the Cossacks. At the same time, there was unbelievable amount of geeks, Rastafarians, and etc in this lyceum. The majority of activists who joined us [STAN Youth NGO] between 2007 and 2012 graduated from that institution. Later hipster community was formed also from from “LIYa”», - recollects Yaroslav Minkin, head of Youth NGO STAN.
