ArtEast Youth Theatre Festival

The ArtEast festival was founded in 2012 by the Luhansk State Academy of Culture and Arts. It took place twice, in 2012 and 2013. In 2013 the ArtEast festival lasted for four days and included nine performances, three workshops, and professional discussions. Professional and amateur theatre collectives from different parts of Ukraine participated in the festival. ArtEast was a competitive festival, and in 2012 Gran-prix won Yunost’ Municipal Theatre of the town of Horlivka for their performance «Staya», in 2013 – the performance «If Sharks Would Be Humans» by the theatre laboratory «Theatre on Chainaya» from Odessa.
