«Artodrom» contemporary art festival»
Artodrom festival claimed its aim was the transformation of a large industrial centre into a modern art object. Participants included: music bands «Кассиопея» (Belarus), «Хамерман Знищує Віруси» (Kyiv), «Динго vs. Павлов» (Donetsk), «Michael Circle meat», «Miracle, Andrew_Time» (Luhansk); and poets Olena Zaslavska, Yaroslav Minkin, Oleksandr Sihida, Yevheniya Baranova. Presentation of the comics by Polish artist Marcin Surma after the novel «Voroshilovgrad» written by famous Ukrainian writer Serhiy Zhadan was one of the main events of the festival. Polish and Ukrainian expert gave workshops on creating comics and public performances. An street art mural has been inspired by the novel «Voroshilovgrad». Open-air concerts took place in the museum of aviation. Festival took place as part of «TANDEM: Ukraine – EU – Moldova» programme supported by the Cultural Programme of the European Commission, Polish Institute in Kyiv and local Luhansk institutions.
