Sculpture «Labourer of Luhanschyna»
A monument «Labourer of Luhanschyna» was erected on the central street of Luhansk for the 50th anniversary of the October Revolution. It is known as «Man with a torch». The sculpture has become one of the symbols of Luhansk. It is a stone sculpture of a man with a torch raised high overhead. It stands on a base in the middle of Radianska Street. The base suffered a lot from many car accidents that’s why it was replaced by granite in 2009, and the sculpture itself was covered with a layer of copper to reduce the negative influence of the environment.
