Folk club «Levsha» (“Left-handed”)

The club unites craftsman who work with wood, ceramics, do embroidery and pysanky (Ukrainian Easter Egg), as well as less traditional arts: glass fusing, and patchwork. “Maybe we have not grown as high as in terms of our abilities to value art, but we have definitely outgrown them in terms of our mastery. We don’t have “samodielkins” anymore, our artists work on a professional level. And they create works not mechanically, but whole-heartedly”, - told Halyna Kovalenko, the club’s leader, in an interview to OstroV. The youngest club’s member was 15, and the oldest 89 years old in 2015.
