Luspekayev Regional Academy Russian Drama Theatre
The repertoire of this theatre consisted of Russian-language drama. The theatre director Oleh Aleksandrov became its chief in 2008. In the pre-war decade the theatre used to stage plays by Molière, Calderón, Kuprin, Bulgakov, Saltykov-Schedrin and others. Today the theatre continues its work in Luhansk, and the words “Luhansk People’s Republic” have been added to its title. Mostly comedies, fairy-tales, vaudevilles have been in the theatreer’s repertoire recently. Aleksandrov has since left Luhansk.
