Imperial
"Imperial" is a slang name for the Soviet agitprop square near the stadium "Avangard". Football fans of "Zarya" used to head here before a match and where they painted large banners. In 2010, the guys from the fan club "Skhid23" (East23) had an idea to find a place where they could gather. They chose an old distressed arena with "backstage", which was in good condition, and painted graffiti on it. They repaired the space a little and painted benches that were there. Incidentally, only those who were “in the know” understood the name "Imperial". “When we drew graffiti with the Gothic inscription "Ultras", a homeless lady passed us by and tried to read. She somehow understood and pronounced "Imperial", because it was written on the ground. And if one of their opponents found out that we were going to “Imperial” before the match it would not happen even with the help of locals. We were going there until 2012”.
