Ukrainian bookstore and café
«Right before the war, our friend Dmytro Sniegiriov opened a Ukrainian language bookstore and café in Luhansk. Petro Maliyov and I have been helping him. All the books in the store were in Ukrainian; it was such a good bookstore. One could find some Ukrainian-style souvenirs there. There had been plans to organize meetings with Ukrainian writers in the bookstore. I remember Stanislav Fedorchuk, a writer from Donetsk, presenting his book there. From time to time we visited this place, talking inside only in Ukrainian. The Ukrainian bookstore had been operating for quite a short time, then the rent has become extremely high and it had to move away», – recalls Anastasiya Medianyk.
