Action "Laundry near the Culture Department of city Council

This event showed the demand for democratisation of the cultural policy in Luhansk. The demant has come from civic and cultural activists. The title of the event links to a well-known anecdote. Participants hang out the laundry in front of the building of city's Culture department. The culmination of the action was temporary occupation of the building caused by the absence of reaction for the action. The storm was leaded by artists Oleksiy Bida and Vyacheslav Bondarenko. Member of the following unions and organizations participated in the action: STAN literary movement, Center "Luganda-house", Luhansk Archeology Union, student assousiation "Aleteya", Foundation of Regional Initiatives (FRI) as well as independent artists, scientists and activists. They claimed the formation of a coalition "Civic cultural office" ought to serve the mediator between city's administration, business and creative class.
