Street Art of Lugansk or S3t art of Lugansk Community

"Street Art of Lugansk – is a community of Luhansk street artists (writers). It was formed and existed in 2008-2010 around the eponymous community Vkontakte (vk.com/club2315443), which I made in 2008. In Vkontakte we gathered everyone who was interested in graffiti, exchanged with each other sketches and photographs of our work. Then we began to organize our events, trips to other cities, we were noticed by local media. By virtue of the community, a lot of young writers appeared in the city, we made this subculture fashionable in Luhansk. There were a lot of people who dedicated to the graffiti a lot of their time, including myself. The community numbered about 20 active members. This was till 2010, then everybody quarreled between each other and the feeling of unity disappeared. I decided to close the community in Vkontakte, turning it into a sort of photo archive. For a short period of existence we organized nearly 20 different events, among them are Antiglobalistic Festival (together with STAN), series of jams ACAB, series of closed graffiti-jams in abandoned houses, themed graffiti-events (festivals dedicated to the independency day, and children’s day). Frankly speaking, the most organizational work I had to do by myself. I have negotiated with sponsors, and then made the announcements about the sketches choice and their issues. Every one, who wanted to participate just downloaded their sketches. Also we were participated at others’ graffiti-events and made photo reports. Also we were just hanging out all together, went to our friends to other towns in region – to Stahaniv, Schastia. And somewhere close to the end of the community existence, the members filmed a legendary video “Zheka-rap”, - tells WHAT
